The Winds of Time

Gefty Rammer took the charter for the money and didn't ask questions. Now his tough old semifreighter, the Silver Queen, has been knocked clean out of normal space into a black void where the instruments make no sense. His client, Mr. Maulbow, is unconscious, and whatever Maulbow brought up from a lifeless moon is locked in the cargo vault.

With Maulbow's secretary Kerim Ruse beside him, Gefty starts looking for answers, and each one is worse than the last. Maulbow is not what he seems, the ship is riding a current through time itself, something out in that dark is searching for them, and the thing in the vault is hungry.
