Red Shadows

In a moonlit valley Solomon Kane finds a dying girl, and with her last breath she names the man who killed her: Le Loup, the Wolf.

Kane is a gaunt English Puritan with a rapier, a brace of pistols and an iron sense of justice, and he does not swear oaths. He simply follows. He hunts the Wolf's bandits through the mountains one by one, and when Le Loup slips away, Kane follows him through Italy and across the sea to the coast of Africa. There, in a jungle village ruled by drums, by King Songa and by the old ju-ju man N'Longa, the hunter becomes a captive, and the reckoning he has chased for years turns stranger and darker than vengeance.
