The Moon of Skulls

For years Solomon Kane has followed the trail of Marylin Taferal, an English girl kidnapped as a child and sold to slavers, and now it ends at a black crag in the African jungle.

Beyond it lies Negari, an ancient stone city ruled by Nakari, a beautiful and pitiless queen said to keep a white girl as her slave. Kane climbs the cliffs by night, is captured, thrown from the Bridge-Across-the-Sky, and survives the fall. Inside the palace's secret passages he finds Marylin, and a chained prisoner who remembers the cities of Atlantis. But time is short: when the Moon of Skulls rises, Negari will hold its festival of blood.
