Gold in the Sky

Twins Tom and Greg Hunter haven't spoken in a year, but the news from the Asteroid Belt drags them into the same room. Their father, Roger Hunter, has died alone between Mars and Jupiter when the fuel tank on his scooter exploded. The U.N. calls it an accident. Tom doesn't believe it for a second.

Roger had quit the giant mining company Jupiter Equilateral to prospect on his own, and Jupiter Equilateral was not pleased. Its smiling men are already sniffing around his claims. With their father's battered scout ship, the Scavenger, the brothers head out into the Belt to find out what he found, who wanted it badly enough to kill, and whether they can stand each other long enough to survive.
