The Planet of Peril

Bored Chicago clubman Robert Grandon is drugged at the opera, offered a taste of real adventure, and wakes in another man's body as a slave in the marble quarries of Venus. A scientist with telepathic powers has traded him into the flesh of Prince Thaddor of Uxpo, a gentle dreamer whose mountain kingdom was crushed by Vernia, the beautiful and dreaded Princess of Reabon.

Zarovia gives Grandon more than he bargained for. He escapes into fern forests full of man-eating beasts, wins command of the outlaw Fighting Traveks, and leads Uxpo's rebels against the empire. But the woman whose armies he fights is not what the stories say, and the ambitious Prince Destho has his own designs on her throne.
