An Earthman on Venus

A meteor that crashes onto a Massachusetts farm is really a capsule fired from Venus, carrying the story of Myles Cabot, the radio inventor who vanished from a locked room. A short circuit in his matter transmitter flung him to Poros, a cloud-wrapped world run by giant, intelligent ant-men who speak by antenna.

Captured, studied and taught by his ant-man keeper Doggo, Cabot builds the planet's first radio set and falls for Lilla, a Cupian princess held prisoner by the ants. Winning her trust is hard enough. Getting her home, past wild ants, giant spiders and her scheming cousin Prince Yuri, will take every trick an Earthman knows.
